Digital Painting

This one was part of our studios Art Blog September horror challenge. At the beginning I was going for a Day of the Dead/Voodoo skull candle holder angle but as the painting grew it ended up a skull in a spooky graveyard candle holder. The final touch was the handle bar mustache which I think I’ll probably use the idea again I like it so much.

This is a little project that I’m in the middle of for my daughter. She is going to be a witch for Halloween so I thought that would be a fun cartoony concept to work on. My goal is to stay very loose with the brush strokes which is always a challenge for me. I have borrowed the general sketch from some other talented artist that I would thank if I knew their name.

This is my first ever digital painting. I had a photo of my son that I used as reference. I’m not sure why but the style ended up really soft. Zach recognized it as himself so I guess that it turned out ok.

This is my second attempt at digital painting of my rock star son TJ. It’s still in progress.

SCEA: IncognitoStudios- Warhawk PS3

These screens of Warhawk were all taken at Alpha when we were still playing around with lighting and fog settings. Most of them are screens of a collaborative effort. Much of the terrain modeling and UV layout work from these screens is my own work. All of the buildings were a collaborative effort. All of the Vehicles and Ships in the screens was the work of others. I spent the bulk of my time on this project split evenly between management and production.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America: Incognito Studios

This convenient store interior that I built was a test for an on foot level for Twisted Metal Black 2 for the PS2. We had a great world team on this project and it was a blast building this game. RIP TMB2.

This was the amusement park level that I helped design and build for Twisted Metal Black 2.
On Downhill Domination the bulk of the work that I did early on the project was building the tracks for many of the Mountain Cross and Technical Downhill levels. In the finaling stages of the project I worked on several Moab levels and 2 of the urban setting levels. This was one of the funest games that I have worked on for the PS2.

War of the Monsters was a great game about gigantic brawling monsters for the PS2. I built this level from the rough block-out up to finished models and first pass textures.

Championship Bass Fishing

This was a game that I worked on for Electronic Arts Outdoor Sports.
